Colorfull World:Embrace Your Uniqueness

Posted on Apr 14th, 2007 by CHESTLYN : Observation Technician CHESTLYN

Ever come across coloured people who live like they're the only people in the world? Who live like their way is the only way? Well, I've seen coloureds who , when talking about or even considering another race or culture, can't help but laugh their heads off. Some even try to completely avoid the topic, all because it's different, they're different.

I'm officially coloured. I'm also an individual. It's what makes me different. To me, majority (coloureds, that is) strive to be the same. They strive to look the same, smell the same, dance the same, even dress the same. They are too afraid to carry that uniqueness they have been born with as individuals.

We live in a colorfull world. Being unique doesn't mean being alone. Instead, being unique means that you have the ability to be more powerfull, more brilliant than anyone else. Embrace your uniqueness. Go on, show the world your true colors.

Way of Harmony

Posted on Apr 5th, 2007 by CHESTLYN : Observation Technician CHESTLYN
As somebody who has always loved and appreciated deligent exercise, I often , while practising tai chi, discover multipal changes. Some which usually resulted in intense flow of energy in  my otherwise relaxed body. This may happen continuosly, since tai chi's movements are internal (working from the inside out).

I discovered that tai chi also affected my personality, calming my mind and improving my balance. My arms and legs grew much stronger than usual. The same happened to my abdomenal muscles, since tai chi's movements relaxes and drop the body's internal organs. This caused my to start breathing abdomenally.

Most people who practice regularly can sure say that tai chi is one of the most constructive of all exercise, which I personally believe can result in a long and  extremely healthy life. I would recommend this exercise to anyone who's anyone. To me, tai chi is definitely the Way of Harmony.

The Information Age

Posted on Apr 5th, 2007 by CHESTLYN : Observation Technician CHESTLYN
We all live in a new age, probably one of the best known, most creative and exciting of all time. We live in an age where our success and excellence somehow will entirely depend on our ability and willingness to learn, change and sometimes unlearn.

Where everything was once about how well you can read and write, now you have to learn a living rather than earn a living. To me, knowledge is everything.

I myself had to learn that knowledge and information are both the keys to opportunity and advancement. In order to prosper in the new millenium, you have got to change, learn and constantly re-invent yourself. For me, knowledge is indeed everything.
